This weekend I worked out a very loose outline of the overall story arc for my book. I’ve broken it up into six parts, plus one proof-of-concept “snippet” to help me kick things off and work out a proper workflow down the line.
The snippet acts as a taster, introducing a few characters without giving too much of the story away. Oh yeah, now instead of a boy named Kevin I’m considering a girl named Zoe. This snippet should also set the tone and let readers know what sort of journey they are getting into. I believe it will be around 10 pages plus a front and back cover and will act as a prototype for how I plan to construct the books themselves.
And, just because I’m excited to get this project off the ground, here is my very first completed rough sketch. It’s the opening spread. The way I see it, it’s all downhill from here.
